North American RoadGuides takes your privacy concerns seriously and will not share your personal information without your consent.
What information is collected and why:
When making a hotel reservation:
When you make a reservation online or by phone through our affiliated customer support center, you will be asked for your name, address, phone number, email address and credit card information. This information is shared with the hotel that you have chosen. Our reservation provider will only share information with the hotel that is necessary to process your reservation. Your credit card information will be used by the hotel to guarantee your reservation.
User Accounts
As an option, visitors using North American RoadGuides affiliated reservation services can create a user account to better manage their shopping preferences and reservations. This enables our reservation service to store your hotel and room preferences, an address to use when booking and contact information to provide to the hotel when you reserve. During the registration process, users are asked to provide some personal information such as their name, phone number and email address. The information is used to help our reservation provider serve you more efficiently. Also, during the registration process you can choose not to receive our newsletter or travel reminders by unchecking the appropriate boxes on the form. You can change the information contained in your account at any time by logging into your account and updating the items you would like changed.
E-Postcards
North American RoadGuides provides an electronic ecards service for you to send to a friend. The service stores the email address of all recipients, the message you want to send and the URL for locating the greeting card. We do not sell, distribute, or license in anyway the use of recipient email addresses. We use them solely for the purposes of notifying recipients on your behalf that a North American RoadGuides card is waiting for them at the designated URL. After 30 days, all information pertaining to your postcard is deleted.
Please be aware that our site contains links to other sites and that the privacy practices of other sites may differ from those of North American RoadGuides.
Correspondence with you
If you have a user account or have made a reservation, North American RoadGuides or our reservation provider will periodically send correspondence to your email address including reservation confirmations, updates about your reservations, newsletters, special offers and travel reminders (for customers with user accounts only). For customers with user accounts, you can choose not to receive our newsletter or travel reminders by logging into your account and modifying your email subscriptions. Also, when making a reservation without a user account, you will be given the opportunity to not receive the newsletter.
